Talula, the fashion boutique in Preston Royal Village, will close its doors Saturday. The owner is retiring and moving to Mexico after five years at the shop. Everything is marked down 75 to 80 percent. I stopped in this afternoon, and it was already almost cleared out.
Meanwhile, The Toy Maven next door plans to move into the vacant store within the next few weeks. Owner Candace Williams says the expansion will help better organize the space and allow for more special events like local author readings.
From the looks of it, the shop could use some more square feet with its huge variety of toys floor to ceiling and even extending out the door. This should be a great addition for a place that’s clearly kid paradise already.
