Elevation Burger opens Saturday

Everyone is buzzing about Elevation Burger on Hillcrest and Northwest Highway, down the street from Temple Eman-uel.

While it’s not In-N-Out Burger, the Arlington, Virginia based company, prides its food on being 100 percent grass-fed, free range, USDA-certified organic beef, that is ground on the premises, and cooked in olive oil.

There has been much speculation as to when the restaurant will open, but David Barleggs, who owns the franchise with wife Fiona, says the burger joint will open for the general public on Saturday, Jan. 8 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. The chain is the second in Texas, the first one opened in Austin.

Some of the delectable menu items include: organic cookies, hand scooped ice cream shakes, two types of veggie burgers and French fries cooked in olive oil.

Barleggs says “It is a very simple menu, but we strive to do what we do best, which is just burgers.”
