Chocolate raspberry pie bite
No matter how fast and furious our lives become, there will always be a place for those quaint, old-fashioned cafes and bakeries. Such is Rosebuds Giftique & Bakery, located on Lovers just west of the Tollway. The restaurant offers a variety of soups and sandwiches along with gift baskets.
They have just rolled out a new item – the pie bite. They’re homemade pies – complete with the crust, meringue or whipped cream and garnish – shrunk down into bite-sized treats. They range from $14.95 to $16.95 by the dozen, available in several flavors including chocolate, coconut, banana, lemon, apple crumb, cherry crumb, pecan, chocolate raspberry and chocolate cherry.
The pies are great for satisfying your sweet tooth while paying attention to portion control. Next, I’ll have to stop by for lunch because Rosebuds has a pretty impressive soup calendar.
