Many months ago, news surfaced about a San Antonio-based pizza place expanding to our neighborhood. By now, you’ve probably noticed the new sign for Dough Pizzeria Napoletana where Chocolate Angel Too used to be at Preston and Forest. Dough co-owner Lori Horn couldn’t give me an exact date, but they plan to open sometime in May.

And this isn’t your average pizza joint. These guys are certified by L’Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana. It takes about two years to complete the program in Naples that trains restaurateurs on how to make authentic Neapolitan pizza. Only 32 restaurants in the United States have this certification.
