Family Day at the SMU Meadows Museum means adults and children can enjoy art exhibits together 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. The gallery features works such as Modern Mexican Painting from the Andres Blaisten Collection. Kids can use their imaginations during gallery games and artsy and hands-on activities.

Perfect your green thumb at North Haven Gardens’ pop-up classes on garden maintenance Saturday. At 11:30 a.m., Rusty Allen discusses Texas’ native and adopted plants. At 1:00 p.m., Cody Hoya explains how to create succulent containers and offer tips on planting in Texas’ current dry environment. These 20-minute classes are casual and don’t require registration.

From 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, it will be okay to talk in the Park Forest Library.
