According to reports from W.T. White High School parents, longtime Lakewood Elementary School principal Michelle Thompson is taking over as WTW’s principal, effective immediately.
A meet-the-parents event with Thompson is scheduled at 7 p.m. July 17 at White; the move was announced to WTW parents via a DISD “robo-call” earlier this evening. Thompson’s daughter, Meghan, played soccer at White and graduated in 2008.
Thompson has been principal at Lakewood for about nine years; she came to DISD from Irving McArthur High School, where she served as an assistant principal.
