Preston Hollow resident Leslie Ezelle is back in the spotlight, competing on HGTV “Design Star: All-Stars.” She was on the show last year but didn’t make the final cut. Now, she’s back with other popular contestants.
We featured Ezelle in our October 2011 issue – but not just because of her great design skills and national TV fame. The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader survived a battle with breast cancer and launched a campaign to give back to the local breast cancer awareness movement.
The season premiere of “Design Star: All-Stars” is at 8 tonight. Ezelle is hosting a watch party at Studio Movie Grill on Royal Lane, starting at 7. Viewers can watch Ezelle on the big screen, get behind-the-scenes commentary and also see some of her latest artwork. Those interested in attending must RSVP by calling 310.441.1000 or emailing Eileen Koch.
The show, for those who aren’t familiar with it, features six contestant who complete various home design challenges. One person goes home after each show. The winner receives $25,000 and a chance to have their own show on HGTV. Of course, Ezelle can’t say whether she won or lost the competition yet. But sources say she did, “very well.”
