Philanthropic Preston Hollow residents will be honored as a part of the 27th Annual National Philanthropy Awards Luncheon Nov. 3o.

Sally Smith Mashburn, runs the Dr. Bob and Jean Smith Foundation, started by her parents, will accept the award for “Outstanding Foundation.” Mashburn is president of the foundation located on Turtle Creek.

The foundation was nominated for its numerous contributions including millions of dollars to local organizations such as: the Parkland Foundation, AT&T Performing Arts Center, Southern Methodist University, Children’s Medical Center, Baylor Healthcare System and more.

Sarah Losinger will accept an award for “Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser” for work with nonprofit organizations for more than 20 years. Her leadership includes: American Red Cross’ Tiffany Circle, Dallas Women’s Luncheon, Family Outreach Dallas, Network of Community Ministries and more. Lossinger is a member of Women Moving Millions, and is chairwoman for the UT Southwester Medical Center’s Friends of the Alzheimer Disease Center.

The Greater Dallas Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals and KERA will honor the recipients with the two-hour luncheon emceed by Scott Murray.
