Locals take the stage at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 at Uncle Calvin’s third anniversary show. Performances include Tom Prasada-Rao and Cary Cooper, Markley and Balmer, Eric Folkerth, Bill Nash and more. Tickets are $10-$12.

Watch models strut their stuff at the Designer’s Choice Fashion Preview, which benefits W.T. White High School. The event takes place Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Dallas World Trade Center, located at 2050 N. Stemmons Freeway. Tickets range from $35-$75, unless you’re a Dallas ISD student, faculty or staff member. Then you get in for $20 with your school ID.

It’s never too early to start saving. NorthPark’s Bookmarks hosts financial planner Ashley Parks Saturday, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. Parks will speak to kids and adults alike on how to save and spend well. Bookmarks is located on level one between Nordstrom and Macy’s in NorthPark, at 8687 N. Central Expressway.

Celebration Restaurant hosts local farmers and crafters at the fall gift and farmers market from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on the restaurant’s fireplace-headed patio. Celebration is at 4503 W. Lovers.

The trains are here! Visit NorthPark to see a tiny train wind its way down 1,600 feet of track around a miniature U.S. The display, which benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, is located on the second level between Barneys New York and Nordstrom. Tickets are $3-$6.
