Councilwoman Margolin
District 13 Councilwoman Ann Margolin will not run for a third term with the Dallas City Council in 2013.
Margolin has represented Preston Hollow since 2009, and announced she will not seek re-election “due to increasingly time consuming personal obligations,” reports the Dallas Morning News.
Margolin will finish her term in the summer of 2013, though she would have faced minimal competition if she chose to seek re-election.
The recipient of several awards from the Distinguished Public Service Award to the Woman of Valor Award, Margolin has been a leader to many women’s organizations.
