Image39The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is being asked to serve as a noise buffer between the Katy Trail Ice House and nearby residents.

Park Towers‘ homeowners association have been involved in a tussle over noise complaints with the bar since its open in 2011 reports the Dallas Business Journal.

A lawyer representing the residents says the HOA has no desire to shut down the Ice House, but that they simply want a “noise abatement agreement.” One of the partial owners of the bar thinks otherwise.

“Katy Trail Ice House has 150 employees. They have no concern for that. It’s an enterprise, and they would stop at nothing to put us out of business,” said Buddy Cramer, a part owner of the Katy Trail Ice House,” Steven Thompson reports.

The HOA’s lawyer says they filed a complaint with the TABC to facilitate the noise abatement agreement.
