Bill Nye, also known as “The Science Guy,” spoke to a crowd of more than 300 Lamplighter members and the surrounding community at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science last week.
Nye talked about how his father’s love of sundials and mother’s interest in math piqued his interest in science. Nye, who is also executive director of The Planetary Society, also talked about the environment and saving the planet. He stressed how science can be used to educate the community about solar and wind energy to power homes and vehicles.
Nye spoke at the museum as a part of Lamplighter’s Dolores Evans Speaker Series.
