Eat your Valentine’s Day candies quick. Barbara Capasso will host a ‘Sugar Blues Workshop’ at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 16 at the Churchill Recreation Center. Dallas Theatre Center is holding a open casting call for its new musical, ‘Fly’ from 2-6 p.m. Feb. 16 at 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd. The center is looking for children 8-16 years old (who aren’t taller than 5’2″) for the spin on J.M Barrie’s classic novel ‘Peter Pan.’ More information can be found here.

Four ovarian cancer survivors will cycle for six hours inside the JCC as a part of Be the Difference Foundation’s Wheel to Survive event 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 17. So far a total of 223 riders have raised more than $180,000 to fight this deadly disease. A vendor fair, silent auction, messages from ob-gyn’s, genetic counselors and researchers will be delivered.
