Soleo Mexican Kitchen‘s bartenders were recently crowned winners of the third-annual Margarita Meltdown in the Bishop Arts District.
About 3,000 people attended the Sunday event that was sponsored by Milagro Tequila. Bartenders from across Dallas mixed, poured and served so many drinks that it’s shocking Soleo won by only three votes. Soleo’s bartenders won a $1,ooo prize and a portion of the event’s proceeds will go to La Voz del Anciano (The Voice of the Elderly), a nonprofit that works with elderly Latinos in Dallas.
Advocate featured Soleo in the “Delicious” section of its January 2013 edition of Preston Hollow Advocate. Unfortunately we did not sample the tequila bar, but the Tacos “El Paisa” and tortilla soup were fabulous.
