If you’ve ever awakened at 2 a.m., craving a buttery, sugary cupcake, you’re in luck. Sprinkles Cupcakes launched its Sprinkles ATM today next door to its storefront in the Plaza at Preston Center.
The bright pink machine contains up to 350 freshly baked cupcakes, continuously restocked day and night. Choose your cupcake using the touch screen, and a high-tech, robotic arm delivers your treat.
Today only, 19 golden tickets will be randomly hidden in cupcakes from the ATM. If you score one, you’ll receive a dozen free cupcakes. Beginning Saturday and continuing until the new Sprinkles Ice Cream shop opens in mid-August, one ATM customer each day will find a $50 gift certificate for Sprinkles Ice Cream.
