A weekly roundup of stories from our neighborhood that made the news:
- Richardson-based chicken chain Wingstop has rented more than 25,000 square feet for its corporate headquarters in The Crossings office building on LBJ just west of Montfort Road, reports the Dallas Morning News. “As part of the new office agreement, Wingstop will get its name up in lights on the office tower which is near the Dallas Galleria complex,” Steve Brown says.
- Inside Out, a touring art project, made a two-day stop in Dallas this week and plastered photographs of North Texans outside the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store on Northwest Highway near Love Field. According to the Inside Out Project’s website, the purpose of the art project is to show that “there are 11 million undocumented people living in the U.S. and these portraits remind us that behind the numbers are real human stories.”
- Senior Armand Fernandez-Pierre of the Episcopal School of Dallas was featured on the channel 4 news earlier this week. Fernandez-Pierre is a member of the school’s varsity football team and its cheerleading squad, and “the ultimate team player.” Watch the video below:
