Dallas Police have arrested a driver involved in a fatal crash that occurred around 2:30 a.m. this morning on 635 near the Dallas Tollway.

Jerry Mathew Abraham, 38, faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter in the death of Pramod Paul, 35, of Irving.

Abraham was taken into custody following the accident. He is recovering from injuries sustained during the crash at a local hospital.

All lanes of westbound 635 were closed until 6:35 a.m. this morning while crews worked to clear up the accident.

The Dallas Morning News reports:

“The crash happened shortly after a previous accident involving two drivers who were standing outside their vehicles on the shoulder. A third vehicle traveling at high speed then plowed into the pickup and car involved in the earlier crash.

One man managed to jump out of the way, but the second driver was pinned and died at the scene. It’s unclear if the third driver was injured.”
