Almost a thousand Dallas ISD students, staff, and parents participated in the W.T. White  homecoming parade on Thursday, Oct. 17.

Schools in the W.T. White feeder pattern, including Nathan Adams Elementary, Degoyler Elementary, Caillet Elementary, Withers Elementary, Cabell Elementary, Marsh Middle School, and Walker Middle School all walked along Welch cheering to earn the coveted spirit award. Students also enjoyed food truck fare at the W.T. White campus after the parade from the likes of The Butcher’s Son and Jo Dawgs, among several others.

Winning schools will receive spirit trophies in categories such as ‘most beautiful’, ‘most unique’, ‘most spirited’, ‘best walking prize’, and ‘overall spirit award’. The trophy winners will be announced at this evening’s homecoming football game at 7:30 p.m.

Students who attend one of the elementary or middle school in the W.T. White feeder pattern get into the football game free if they wear their school spirit shirt. Check out some parade highlights in the iphone video below:
