The Preston Royal Southwest shopping center has had some changes over the past couple months.
Wild About Flowers, which closed earlier this year at the northwest corner of Preston and Royal, re-opened on June 1 in the Preston Royal Southwest shopping center at 5934 Royal, Suite 128.
Dan Pierce, who has owned Wild About Flowers for 30 years, says the move was due to financial reasons.
On Oct. 1, another longtime business on Preston and Royal, Bolivar Salon, closed and re-opened downstairs in 5930 Royal, Suite F. The new primo location for the salon was formerly inhabited by Citrus Bistro. We reported earlier this year that the French bistro vacated after being unable to renew their lease.
Al Bolivar, co-owner of Bolivar Salon, says that the new hair salon location has 18 chairs, two treatment rooms, and entirely new furnishings. “We kept the same name of Bolivar Salon since we have been in business for 20 years,” he says.
