Wednesday morning city officials, including our District 11 councilman Lee Kleinman, participated in the fourth annual “Bike to City Hall Day.” The City Council members rode together with fellow bike advocates  to promote cycling and bike safety in the city. Local cycling group Bike Friendly Oak Cliff, organized the event. “Both cyclists and drivers have to recognize each other as modes of transportation on the road,” Kleinman said Wednesday, according to the Dallas Morning News. Kleinman also said that the ride helped bring awareness to the need for safer transportation for cyclists throughout the city.

Preston Hollow’s Leslie Ezelle is working to launch a TV program centered around her craft. That’s according to Culturemap, who reports that the former HGTV veteran has quite a knack for keeping her bustling home free of clutter and organized.

Interstate Batteries, whose headquarters are located at Coit and 635, earned a highest supplier award from Toyota Motor Sales. It was the second time that the battery company has won the Toyota Excellence Award, reports the Dallas Morning News. Terry Box reports that the Dallas-based company “distributes automotive batteries, franchises and operates retail battery stores, recycles batteries and provides other power products.”
