President Barack Obama’s visit to Preston Hollow drew plenty of news coverage and even a few protestors. Standing at Hillcrest and Northwest Highway, 15 protestors voiced opposition against Obamacare, toting signs saying, “Honk to impeach” and “Don’t mess with Texas.” The President stayed in Dallas for a total of four hours, attending two high-dollar fundraisers and commending volunteers at Temple Emanu-El for supporting Obamacare.

Preston Road made the list of The Observer’s “10 Most Dangerous Places to Walk in Dallas,” citing last year’s death near the intersection of Preston and Northwest Highway and “two other pedestrian injuries far from any crosswalk” as contributing factors.

Preston Hollow made national news when ABC included some of our local real estate in a slideshow: “What $5 Million Will Buy You: Home Across the U.S.” which begged the question: are the amenities of million dollar homes worth the price tag?
