Dallas Morning News reports that the parent company of Chuck E. Cheese, (the kid-oriented restaurant has a location near our neighborhood on Montfort and Peterson,) was purchased by Apollo Global Management in a deal valued at $1.3 billion. DMN reports “Apollo buys troubled companies using borrowed money and tries to sell them for more, usually years later, in a transaction known as a leveraged buyout.” So if your kids are fans of the super-cheesy Chuck E. Cheese pizza, fret not, because they’ll still be able to get their fix — for now at least.
