North Dallas Holocaust survivor Max Glauben, who is well known in the community for delivering talks about this harrowing experience, fell victim to thieves earlier this week, the Dallas Morning News reports. His collection of historic materials, which included a video of his testimony and photographs of Glauben with Elie Wiesel, was stolen from his car. The News reports he’s not pressing charges, he just wants his treasured artifacts back.

Restaurateur Sam Fox, owner of Preston Center’s True Food Kitchen and John Tesar of Preston Hollow’s Spoon Bar & Kitchen both made the list, SideDish reports. Spoon also made Texas Monthly’s list of best restaurants in the state.

Preston Hollow resident and private-equity executive Kneeland Youngblood made headlines last Friday for being the first African American man to be accepted into the exclusive Dallas Country Club, Dallas News reported. James Ragland writes that because Youngblood had to wait 13 years to be admitted, “critics call it one of the last bastions of racial segregation.” In response to the lengthy time it took for him to be accepted Youngblood says, “It’s for the club to choose. It is their decision 100 percent to support, whether I was black or white or brown. People don’t get in sometimes. Some have been on the list longer, some shorter.” The fee to join the club is $137,000.

Georgia-based telecom firm CPD Mobile is moving its headquarters to Dallas to the Executive Center office complex at the southeast corner of U.S. Highway 75 and LBJ Freeway, reports Dallas News. “CDP Mobile has 47 employees in Atlanta and the company is expecting to move the bulk of their CPD Mobile operations to Dallas,” says spokeswoman Angela McMahon. “We don’t have an exact number of those moving, but we do know that CDP Mobile will hire at least 12 new employees in Dallas.”
