On Saturday, W.T. White High School theater students performed “The Importance of Being Earnest” as their entry for the annual UIL One Act Play Competition, bringing home the highest number of individual awards.

The students also earned the highest rating in all 36 categories — a straight score of “excellent” across the board.

Individual awards include

Best Actor: Dru Miers
All Star Cast: Calvin Cashen
Honorable Mention to the All Star Cast: Paige Madkins
Honorable Mention to the All Star Cast: Cecilia Gatling
Best Technician: Jason Tarlton

Their teachers are James Smethers, Robert Edgin, Lisa Cotie and Stacie Nitcholas.
