A summary of recent crimes around Preston Hollow, via Dallas Police Department police reports:

  • Between 8 p.m. on April 9 and 5 a.m. April 1o, two tires and rims were stolen off of a GMC in the parking garage of luxury apartments near Marsh and Northwest Highway.
  • A bold thief made away with two necklaces worth more than $2000 stolen from the NorthPark Versace store. At 2:34 p.m. on Aril 10, the suspect asked to try on one of the necklaces. With one necklace in his hand and the other on his neck, the suspect quickly fled the scene. Video surveillance of the incident is currently being examined by detectives.
  • At 6:30 p.m. on April 10, an unknown suspect broke through a temporary wall concealing construction near the Inwood Village Citibank, stealing a drill and drywall paddle valued at $250.
  • Just after noon on April 11, lawn maintenance equipment valued at more than $2000 was stolen from a landscaping truck parked near Thackery Park.
  • A woman stopped in her car at a red light on the 7800 block of Banner discovered nearly $500 worth of damage done to her car when she arrived home. Earlier at the red light, at 5:05 p.m. on April 11, a panhandler had thrown an object at her car without provocation. The panhandler was identified as a white female, 5’4″ with light brown hair, and possibly weighing 120 pounds.
