John Mariotti, head fitness coach and co-owner of Crossfit Odyssey in Preston Center, placed fifth worldwide in the recently completed CrossFit Games Open, according to the Dallas News health blog.

Conjoined twin boys born at nearby Medical City Hospital nine months ago were able to return home on Wednesday, NBC DFW reports. Watch online as parents Jenni and Dave Ezell describe their positive recovery experience at the hospital, and what’s to come, to reporter Meredith Land.

Earlier this week in a Rick Perry-esque maneuver, state Rep. Jason Villalba (whose represents North Dallas, Preston Hollow and Lake Highlands) attempted once again to woo Sriracha makers Huy Fong Foods to move their production plant from California to Texas. On Facebook Villalba wrote, “I implore the Trans Family: just meet with us. Let us tell you what is possible by moving your operations to Texas. You will not be disappointed.” As of yesterday, we know that the Trans family has invited Villalba to do just that, and that come early May, we’ll learn if Texas could be the new home of Sriracha.
