Crime report squareThis week’s roundup of crime in Preston Hollow, compiled from recent Dallas police reports:

A woman entered the Jenny Craig located across from Inwood Village on April 16 at 3:20 p.m. She proceeded to ask the receptionist about food that she should get for her mother. According to reports, the woman asked to use the bathroom located down the hall. When the woman finally left, employees discovered that credit cards and $80 had been stolen from a purse in an office located off of the hallway. Upon reporting the stolen credit cards, the owner of the purse discovered that the thief had already charged $2,000 to her credit card.

A yellow wallet and house key were stolen from a woman’s shopping cart while she was shopping at the Preston/Forest Whole Foods on April 16, around noon. The cost to replace stolen items and cards is estimated to be $500.

$200 worth of damage occurred when an unknown suspect broke the front window and screen of an apartment located on the 7800 block of Royal on April 17 at 4 a.m.

Between 8:10 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. an iPhone and iPhone case valued at $640 were stolen from a Hillcrest High School student’s pocket while he was sleeping on the school bus on April 18.

A thief smashed a driver’s side window and stole a car stereo and iPhone charger worth $200 from a car parked in the NorthPark Center parking lot on April 19 around 5:45 p.m.

Serious bodily injury occurred when a man driving while intoxicated crashed into another driver on the 12,500 block Park Central on April 20 at 2:40 a.m.
