Next week during its annual meeting, the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce will mark its 60th anniversary.

Over the years, NDCC and its members have helped influence some of the biggest changes in business and development north of Northwest Highway. They played a role in the construction of the Dallas North Tollway, the Dallas Arboretum and phasing out the Wright Amendment for Love Field’s expansion.

On its Facebook page, the chamber has been posting “Throwback Thursday” photos of its early days. Check out the album here.

Blake Nordstrom, president of Nordstrom Inc. will be the keynote speaker at the event noon-1:30 p.m. May 14 at the Hilton Anatole. Go here for ticket information.
