W.T. White High School students today hosted a bone marrow drive in honor of their classmate, Susana Olvera.

The graduating senior was diagnosed with leukemia in April and has been home-bound ever since, receiving multiple rounds of chemotherapy. She doesn’t need a transplant at the moment but through the drive, students hope to register new life-saving donors to show support for Olvera and other patients suffering from the disease.

And, as you can see in the photo above, she was unanimously selected as this year’s prom queen.
