For the past few summers, salsa fanatics have showcased their one-of-a-kind recipes at the North Haven Gardens annual salsa contest.
But this year the garden store is extending its annual salsa contest into a weekend-long shindig from June 21-22. Dubbed the Summer Edible Festival, the event will feature a number of free workshops and demonstrations, along with plenty of food and beverage samples to partake in as you go.
Saturday’s highlights include the salsa contest from 1-1:30 p.m, wine tastings from 2-3 p.m., and a herbal beverage workshop from 4-4:30 p.m.
On Sunday, don’t miss the pesto contest from 1-1:30 p.m. Winning salsa and pesto makers will be awarded for their efforts with prizes, including some hefty gift cards to NHG, so you’ll want to be sure to check it out.
