Hillcrest Forest Fourth of July Parade

  • Celebrate Independence day at the annual Hillcrest Forest 4th of July parade. The Hillcrest Forest Neighborhood Association and the Kramer Elementary PTA host their parade Friday at 10 a.m. A carnival follows, including balloon animals, ice pops and giveaways for pets and children. Organizers also will award the best-dressed pet.
  • At the same time, neighbors Mike and Nancy Killough will host their annual parade and fireworks celebration at their home on the 6000 block of Prestonshire. This will be the 40th year that the Preston Hollow couple has hosted their Independence day celebration for the neighborhood.
  • The Devonshire neighborhood association hosts its parade at 9 a.m. on Friday too. The parade route starts and end at Westminster Presbyterian ChurchFamilies are welcomed to decorate bikes, trikes and wagons and join in the parade. Snow cones, prizes and bounce houses for the children to follow.
  • Guinness World record holding David Slick presents juggling, unicycling and magic at Bookmarks Library in NorthPark Center Saturday at 2 p.m.
