Each year, AFS-USA facilitates programs to help more than 2,300 international high school students study abroad in the United States. About 50 of those students will arrive in Dallas next month.

To help accommodate these exchange students, the nonprofit is currently seeking families in the North Dallas/W.T. White-area to host students during the 2014-15 school year.

You can host a student for the entire school year, a semester, or 6-12 weeks. It is not necessary to have high school age children of your own to host. Families with small children, empty-nesters, and couples without children can also be great host families.

Basically, it’s a pretty cool way for you and your family to experience another culture without the hassle of travel. Plus you’ll be helping some awesome international students better understand the world around them, too.
