We now know at least one of the tenants moving into Preston Hollow Village, the high-profile new development under construction at the northwest corner of Walnut Hill and Central.

Teresa Gubbins at CultureMap reports that the Colorado-based restaurant chain, Modmarket, will take up residence there along with three other locations in Dallas.

Calls today haven’t been returned from Retail Street Advisors, the marketing company for Preston Hollow Village. But, the “coming soon” section of Modmarket’s website confirms the plans.

As we’ve reported here in the past, Phase I of the “walkable” development is still underway, with Trader Joe’s slated to open in October. The first phase of the 42-acre site also includes eight to 10 restaurants on a tree-lined “main street configuration” with patios and gathering spaces. Way back in January 2012, Leon Backes of Provident Realty told me,“We are talking with some very cool tenants that aren’t in the market right now,” alluding partly to the Trader Joe’s anchor that was later announced. He has repeatedly told us the development, “wont’ be like anything else in Preston Hollow.”

Looks like Modmarket is another one of those.

In total, the project comprises more than 100,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, 60,000 square feet of office space as well as 100 town homes, and 1,100 multifamily units.
