A new private preschool is coming to the neighborhood.
Primrose School of Preston Hollow specializes in early childhood education, using its own philosophy known as the Balanced Learning System, which focuses on cognitive, emotional and physical development, drawing from models such as Montessori, Gesell and Piaget.
Headquartered in Georgia, Primrose has schools all over the country, mostly in suburban areas. The school is accredited by External AdvancED Corporation Systems. Each branch, however, keeps things local. Dallas resident and SMU graduate Julia Shelton owns the Preston Hollow school, located at 10715 Preston southwest of Royal.
Prospective parents can learn more about Primrose during preview meetings 6-8 p.m. July 31 and Aug. 5, and 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 16 at the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. RSVP to jshelton@primroseprestonhollow.com.
