One of our neighborhood dance studios, Preston Hollow Dance, is offering two weeks of free trial classes now through Sept. 15 for dancers age 12-18 years old.
Come as you are — no experience or special clothing is required.
Preston Hollow Dance, which operates at the corner of Walnut Hill and Marsh, offers a variety of classes such as ballet, jazz and hip hop. There also are a couple of offbeat classes like the Thriller Zombie Flash Mob in which a month of practice culminates in a spontaneous recital for an unsuspecting crowd.
Another class, Stretching the Scriptures, involves ballet, Pilates and yoga exercises as Bible verses are displayed and read aloud. This is class is free, but donations are accepted for a local ministry that helps victims of trafficking in Dallas.
