Staying in town for Labor Day weekend? Here are a few neighborhood events worth attending:

  • Learn about cyberbullying and its impact by viewing a screening of “Submit: The Documentary” at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church Thursday at 6:30 p.m. A panel discussion featuring law enforcement and licensed professional counselor Denette Mann will follow. Free; call 972.670.7078 to rsvp.
  • NorthPark Center will host a crafting party while collecting back to school supplies to benefit Dallas nonprofit Girls Inc from 1-5 p.m. in the NorthCourt on Saturday.
  • The Kilgore Curse, a fast-paced suspense thriller set in Dallas, was written by local author Dr. Larry Pivnick. Meet the author and attend a book signing at Barnes & Noble this Saturday at 3 p.m.
  • Yoga beginners and masters of the mat can attend a morning of classes covering a variety of yoga styles on Sunday from 8-10:30 a.m. at Town North YMCA. The registration cost includes classes, a shirt, a gift bag and snacks. Costs $15; call 214.357.8431 for more information.
