In other traffic-related news, the Texas Department of Transportation announced Monday that it is beginning an intersection improvement project that will add turn lanes at Preston and Royal. Per the announcement:
“The intersection will be widened to accommodate an additional turn lane in each direction onto Royal Lane from Preston Road. This project is expected to be complete next spring and will enhance traffic flow by allowing more vehicles to turn onto Royal Lane. Any lane closures that occur during construction will be scheduled for off-peak traffic hours.”
