During this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the residents, Edgemere senior living community in Preston Hollow raised $26,344 for the Greater Dallas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, putting Edgemere among the organization’s top five donors — for the sixth year in a row.
“Being able to contribute to such a worthy cause is an honor, and until a cure is found, we will continue to do our part,” says John Falldine, Edgemere’s managing director.
The community hosted a series of events leading up the walk, including a garage sale and “Casual for Cause,” which allowed the staff to wear jeans on Friday in exchange for a donation.
