It turns out we will have to wait just a little bit longer for Trader Joe’s to open in Preston Hollow Village, the new high-end development taking shape on the corner of Walnut Hill and Central.

Trader Joe’s has just announced that it will open Feb. 20. Alison Mochizuki, a spokesperson for the grocery store, says that construction delays postponed its original fall 2014 opening date.

The 14,600 grocery store will be located at 7939 Walnut Hill and open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Inside, we can expect typical Trader Joe’s elements — also found in the Inwood Village location, which opened this summer — such as cedar-covered walls, Hawaiian motifs, and art celebrating the neighborhood.

Come February neighbors will receive the Trader Joe’s “Fearless Flyer” mailer, which features recipes and seasonal products at the store.

In other Preston Hollow Village news, the second phase of construction on the 42-acre site is set to begin next month. That’s according to Steve Brown at Dallas Morning News, who reports that the next phase “will include three 7-story apartment buildings constructed just north of the shopping center, which will house 513 rental units.”
