St. Mark’s is temporarily doing away with part of its dress code in honor of No Shave November. Throughout the month, Upper School boys are growing their facial hair and raising money to support testicular cancer research. The students were inspired by 2010 alumnus Elliot Chang-Tung, who was diagnosed with the disease during his senior year of high school but has since recovered. So far, the students have raised $2,000 for the American Cancer Society for Testicular Cancer Research.

The program taught lessons in philanthropy as the profits go to a charity of their choice.
