There is a huge push in our neighborhood to get kids excited about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The effort continues this Friday at NorthPark Center. Children between the ages of 2 and 5-years-old will gather at Bookmarks for Preschool Palazzo STEM Storytime. The event, sponsored by Atmos Energy, begins at 3:30 p.m.

Continue your weekend of family learning Saturday at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. From 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. aspiring pilots can explore open cockpits, create foam plate gliders and experiment with wind tubes. Admission is free. For a complete list of activities, click here.

On Sunday, head to North Haven Gardens and meet members of the Orchid Society. At 2:30 p.m. the group welcomes guest speaker Alan Koch, owner of Gold Country Orchids in Lincoln, California. Anyone looking to perfect their green thumb is invited to attend.
