In light of Transwestern’s renewed interest in building a luxury apartment complex at the northeast corner of Preston and Northwest Highway, Councilman Lee Kleinman will host a community meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. The conversation will take place at the Park Cities Baptist Church.
Kleinman represents District 11, but he’s handling this issue on behalf of Councilwoman Jennifer Staubach Gates. The District 13 leader removed herself from the process last year over a conflict of interest. Her husband, John Gates, is the CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle, the commercial real estate firm that brokered the deal with the developer.
