On November 20, Uncle Calvin’s will host one of its most impressive musical artists to date.

Folk singer-songwriter Melanie Safka topped Billboard charts in 1972 and was called “the female Bob Dylan” by many critics. Her Woodstock performance inspired fans to light candles and flare lighters for the first time in concert history.

Since then, she’s performed for crowds at Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Opera House and Royal Albert Hall. Big names like Ray Charles, Cher, Miley Cyrus and Björk have covered her songs.

Tickets for the event are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. The performance starts at 8:00 p.m. so you have until then to memorize the lyrics to “Brand New Key” if you don’t know them already.
