Delight your ears October 17 at NorthPark Center. In honor of the shopping mall’s 50th anniversary, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will perform works by Mozart, Bernstein, Gershwin and Beethoven in the CenterPark Garden at 7 p.m. The concert, conducted by Jaap van Zweden and Karina Canellak, is free to the public.

Want to say thank you? You’ll have the opportunity October 30, when the Friends of WRR hosts a musical instrument drive for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Young Strings and Dallas Winds and Fine Arts Chamber Players.

Between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., drop off gently-used orchestra and band hand-carried instruments at Sam Ash Music on North Central Expressway or any of Sewell Automotive Companies’ nine Dallas-Fort Worth locations (the dealership on West Northwest Highway is probably the most convenient for Preston Hollow folks.)
