You’re never too young to do good. That’s essentially the philosophy behind Wee Volunteer, a nonprofit started by Preston Hollow resident Michelle Chase in 2009.

The organization hosts “fun, educational, family-friendly service projects for groups and families with preschool and elementary school age children.” Through Wee Volunteer, kids learn the joy of giving back by working with charities like Meals On Wheels, the SPCA and Heart House.

On November 21, in honor of National Family Volunteer Day, the nonprofit will host several service projects throughout the community between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. $5 is all you need to participate. Visit this link to see which project most appeals to you.

Afterwards, celebrate at Communities Foundation of Texas. Arrive at noon to enjoy food, games and pictures from your day of volunteerism. Click here for details.
