The Corner Shopping Center at North Central Expressway and Walnut Hill Lane will soon look much different. Cypress Equities plans to completely redevelop the strip mall early next year. The Dallas Morning News has more.

Contractors working for the City of Dallas must now pay their employees a “living wage” of at least $10.37 an hour. According to reporter Elizabeth Findell, “Council member Jennifer Staubach Gates was the only council member to vote against the requirement.” The city isn’t sure how much contractors pay their employees currently and Gates felt it was a bad idea to “set government policy with no concrete idea of its cost.” Click here for the full story.
