SMU’s annual spring playwriting festival, “New Visions, New Voices,” begins March 30 and runs through April 3. In total, six works will be unveiled in the Greer Garson Theatre. All plays were written by graduating SMU theatre students and directed by faculty members or alumni.

Performances should be pretty bare bones. According to the announcement, “the plays are presented as staged readings, without costumes or sets, bringing the writers’ raw stories, characters and language to the audience without filter.”
