Carlo’s Bakery opened a location in Preston Center over the weekend to much fanfare. According to NBCDFW.com, celebrity owner Buddy Valastro even showed up to greet the crowd. I mistakenly thought he was there yesterday, too. The line to get in the confectionery was startlingly long. Around 3:15 p.m, I asked a teenage girl if she were there to see The Cake Boss. Nope, she assured me, she was just there to pick up a cannoli.
