UPDATE:

The sale that would have allowed the highest bidder to rip out the fixtures and architectural details in the mid-century modern home pictured above was canceled, it seems. It is no longer listed on estatesale.net, the former sale link now redirects to the site’s homepage.

Gossip on the Demolition Dallas Facebook page suggests that after expansive media coverage yesterday, the new owners were inundated with calls and decided to cancel the sale. We can’t confirm that, but it makes sense considering how many outlets picked up the story of the “1958 time capsule” of a home. It’s still unclear whether the new owners still plan to go through with the demolition.

Here’s our original post from yesterday:

The title of the event says it all: “Mid-Century Modern pre-Demo Sale — 1958 Time Capsule!” This weekend, architectural purists will have the chance to tour, buy and gut the innards of a classic neighborhood home before this relic is torn down for good.

The address won’t be released until Friday, likely to prevent any eager lookie-lous from peeping it out before the sale. While it calls itself Highland Park in the estatesale.net ad, we here at the Advocate consider the 75229 Preston Hollow (a topic of long debate, of course).

Very few details are listed, but all sales are cash-only and final. Get the (limited) details available here.
