Santiago Calatrava’s “Wave” adorns the front of the Meadows Museum at SMU.

See an early Salvador Dalí surrealist masterpiece and many other treasures of the Spanish art world for free at the Meadows Museum on May 18.

The event is part of the Association of Art Museum Directors’ Art Museum Day, in which about 150 museums across the nation will participate.

Along with the Meadows’ permanent collection and visiting masterpieces, the museum at SMU is exhibiting “Process and Innovation: Carlotta Corpron and Janet Turner,” and “Between Paris and Texas: Marie Cronin, Portraitist of the Belle Époque,” as well as the Dalí masterpiece, “L’homme poisson.”
